Llangynfelyn is a village to the North of Aberystwyth, Wales, but the name is also used for the parish of Llangynfelyn. The parish of Llangynfelyn includes the villages of Llangynfelyn, Tre-Taliesin, Tre'rddôl, Craig-y-Penrhyn and Goitre. http://www.llangynfelyn.org FUTURE RESEARCH David Thomas married in 1842 at Llancynfelyn, and subsequently appears on census returns at Llancynfelyn. However, he was born at Llanbadarn, so presumably appears on the 1841 census there. He would have been about 26 years old, so would be on that census listed as 25. It is almost impossible to move his tree further back because there are several David Thomas's at Llanbadarn at that time. For example, three of the possible Llanbadarn census reports are listed below, and he could be any of these David Thomas's. The final census is even more problematical as it appears to list children and grandchildren. The relationship to the head of household is not listed on the 1841 census. 1841 UK Census HO107/1374, Book 4, Folio 9, Page 11 Heingrig, Llanbadarn Fawr, Aberystwyth, Cardiganshire, Wales.
